Function
This command is used to modify the password of a user for the device. Proper user passwords ensure the system security. After the command is executed successfully, the original password is invalid.

Format
terminal user password

Parameters
None

Modes
Privilege mode

Level
Common user level

Usage Guidelines
To enhance system security, change the password to meet the requirement after the first successful login. It is recommended that you change the password periodically.
Before modifying the password of a user, run the display terminal user command to query the name of the user whose password is to be changed.
The super user and administrator can modify their own passwords and the password of the user with lower level. When modifying the password of the user with lower level, the super user or administrator needs to input the name but not the previous password of the user.
Except the administrator, all users can only modify their own passwords and are required to input the previous passwords.
The input password is not displayed on the terminal.
An entered password cannot be the same as a password entered in the latest five times.
Example
To modify the password of common user "test-user1" through an administrator account, do as follows:

huawei#terminal user password
User name (<=15 chars):test-user1
